    Introduction About CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET contains Chymotrypsin- Trypsin which belongs to the group of medicines called Proteolytic enzymes. It is used to manage post-operative wounds, necrotic tissue, oedema (Ex. swelling of tooth and gums) and haematomas like auricular septal hematoma, nasal fractures, parapharyngeal abscess, management of inflammation of the surgical stitches, pelvic inflammatory disease, caesarean section, episiotomy, hysterectomy, tooth extraction, peri-apical abscess, ocular trauma include fluid build-up in the macula (macular oedema), hyphema (collection of blood in eye), black eye, inflammation of uveal tract (uveitis), broken blood vessels (subconjunctival haemorrhage), degenerative joint disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylosis, spondylarthritis, pain management, maxillofacial surgery, post-traumatic oedema, soft tissue injury, fractures and dislocation, sports injuries, muscle and joint pain with swelling, sciatica, and sprains and strains.

    It is also used to manage chronic respiratory diseases like asthma, bronchitis, lung diseases, and sinus infections. Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET as it may lead to unwanted effects.

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with peptic ulcer, glaucoma, blood clotting disorder, severe liver or kidney disease. CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with lung diseases, and arrhythmias.

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless considered necessary. CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET should be used with caution in children. CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients aged 65 years or above. The most common side effects of taking CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, allergy etc. Contact your physician if any of the symptoms worsen.

    How CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET Works

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET works by breaking down the proteins and helps to fight infection and hasten the repair of traumatic, surgical or orthopaedic injuries. It also breaks down the blood clots thus improving and restoring circulation and resolves oedema, hematoma and pain, promotes the removal of the debris and accelerates recovery. It also reduces swelling (oedema), and inflammation, by reducing the proinflammatory mediators and fastens the healing process.

    How to use CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET

    Take CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicines with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET

    Common

    Rare

    Stop taking CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • severe allergic reactions such as skin rash, redness, itching, and swelling of the face, lips, throat and tongue, causing difficulty in breathing or loss of consciousness, or shock

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Nausea and vomiting:

    Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods. Contact your doctor if nausea and vomiting do not improve.

    Stomach pain:

    Try to rest and relax. Eat small meals but take them frequently. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. Contact your doctor if stomach pain worsens.

    Skin rash:

    Avoid a hot water bath as it irritates the skin and does not scratch the affected area. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Regularly use unscented moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. Contact your doctor if the rashes worsen.

    Breastfeeding

    Driving and Using Machines

    Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience drowsiness, dizziness, hypotension or a headache after taking CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET.

    Alcohol

    Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET as it may lead to unwanted effects.

    Kidney

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with kidney disease. Contact your doctor before taking it.

    Liver

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver disease. Contact your doctor before taking it.

    Allergy

    Do not take CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET if you are allergic to chymotrypsin- trypsin, or to other ingredients of this medicine.

    Lungs

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with lung diseases. Contact your doctor before taking it.

    Heart Disease

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases such as arrhythmias. Contact your doctor before taking it.

    Others

    CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET is not recommended for use if you have:

    • inflammatory swelling caused by surgery, injury or infection or dental procedures
    • peptic ulcer
    • glaucoma
    • blood clotting disorders
    • intolerance to sugars

    Before taking CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET, inform your doctor if you have:

    • cataract surgery
    • pulmonary haemorrhage

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before taking CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

    • chloramphenicol (medicines used for bacterial infections)
    • coumadin, heparin (medicines used to manage blood clots)
    • clopidogrel (medicines used to manage aggregation)
    • antiseptics (medicines used to manage infections)

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of CHYMORAL FORTE DS TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
