CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION contains Cefoperazone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, genital tract, skin and soft tissues, stomach, biliary tract, blood and the brain. It can also be used prophylactically to manage bacterial infections following surgical or diagnostic procedures.
CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION should be under careful medical supervision. Therapy with CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION should be continued for the stipulated duration as instructed by the doctor to achieve better results. Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.
Before receiving CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any stomach problems (diarrhea, colitis) or if are weak or malnourished as a precaution.

- Post-surgical infections
How CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION Works
CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION is a powerful antibacterial agent. It kills the susceptible bacteria by blocking the bacterial cell wall synthesis. Unlike other antibiotics, it can also remain unaffected by the toxic proteins produced by the bacteria (such as beta lactamases). As a result, it destroys the susceptible bacteria and manages it from further growth and multiplication which will reduce the severity of the infection.
How to use CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION
CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein (intravenously) or into the muscle (intramuscularly).
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the infection.
Side Effects Of CEFOMYCIN 1000MG INJECTION

How To Manage Side Effects
Vomiting:
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if you experience severe vomiting.
Diarrhea:
Drink plenty of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Consuming ORS can also be beneficial. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. If your diarrhea worsens, contact your doctor immediately.
Skin rash:
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate your skin further. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Consult your doctor if your skin rash worsens.
Injection site reactions:
Place an ice pack at the site of injection. Do not move the affected area. Consult your doctor if the symptom worsens.
