Introduction About CASTOPHENE TABLET
Castophene Tablet is a laxative agent used to manage constipation and associated headaches and piles. It also helps to relieve stomach disorders and gas problems. It contains phenolphthalein as an active ingredient that helps to relieve constipation.
Phenolphthalein gets absorbed in small intestine and is conjugated in liver to phenolphthalein glucuronide, that passes into colon where it is deconjugated to its active form which effectively relieves constipation and stomach problems.
Always take Castophene Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water and do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
