    Introduction About CANDIDOX SPRAY

    CANDIDOX SPRAY contains Ciclopirox, which belongs to the group of medicines called antifungals. It is indicated for the topical management of fungal skin infections like tinea pedis (infection of the feet causing an itchy, scaly rash), tinea cruris (fungal infection involving genital areas and the inner thigh and characterized by red, itchy, ring-shaped rashes), and tinea corporis (fungal infection of the trunk, arms, and legs).

    It is also used to manage candidiasis or moniliasis (a fungal infection of the skin, mouth, throat, gut, and vagina), tinea (pityriasis), and versicolor (a fungal infection causing lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs).

    CANDIDOX SPRAY should be used during pregnancy only if it is considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

    CANDIDOX SPRAY should be used with caution by breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

    The safety and effectiveness of CANDIDOX SPRAY in children below 10 years of age have not been established. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

    The most common side effects of using CANDIDOX SPRAY are itchiness, mild burning sensation or redness. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms worsen.

    Uses Of CANDIDOX SPRAY

    It is used for the topical management of the following fungal skin infections:

    • tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris
    • candidiasis or moniliasis
    • tinea (pityriasis) versicolor

    How CANDIDOX SPRAY Works

    CANDIDOX SPRAY is a broad-spectrum antifungal medication that works by inhibiting or killing a wide range of fungi that cause infections. Thus, it helps to manage fungal infections effectively.

    How to use CANDIDOX SPRAY

    Always use CANDIDOX SPRAY as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Clean and thoroughly dry the infected areas of the skin. Hold the spray bottle in upright position, 2 inches away from the skin surface and then spray sufficient amount to cover the affected and surrounding area. Wash your hands thoroughly after each use.

    Side Effects Of CANDIDOX SPRAY

    Common

    • itchiness, mild burning sensation or redness

    Stop using CANDIDOX SPRAY and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • severe itching, redness, burning, dryness
    • irritation of managed skin
    • change in colour of nails
    • sensitivity (allergic reaction) or chemical irritation

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate the skin. Do not scratch the affected area. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Regularly use unscented moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. Contact your doctor if the itching worsens.

    • topical steroids (medicine used to reduce skin inflammation and irritation)
    • medicines used to manage fits or seizures

    If you or anyone else accidentally used or took too much of CANDIDOX SPRAY, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
