    Introduction About BON K2 TABLET

BON K2 TABLET is a combination of Calcitriol, Calcium Citrate Malate, and Menaquinone, which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin D analogs, Calcium compounds, and Vitamin K derivatives. It is used in the management of bone disorders like osteopenia, osteoporosis, and post-menopausal women with osteoporosis.

Thinning and weakening of bones occur due to excessive absorption of calcium from the bones, generally because of nutritional deficiencies, underlying conditions, or increasing age. It is characterized by symptoms such as bleeding gums, weak grip strength, brittle fingernails, loss of height, frequent fractures, and neck and back pain.

BON K2 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to calcitriol, other vitamin D metabolites (such as alfacalcidol and cholecalciferol), and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.

BON K2 TABLET is also not recommended for use in patients with hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood) and/or metastatic calcification (extra deposits of calcium in your body).

Before taking BON K2 TABLET, inform your doctor if you are immobilized (due to an operation or any other reason) and/or have liver problems (such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease).

BON K2 TABLET should be used with caution by pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary. BON K2 TABLET should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years).

The most common side effects associated with the use of BON K2 TABLET are hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), headache, skin rash, excess thirst, and nausea. abdominal pain and/or urinary tract infection. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.

    Uses Of BON K2 TABLET

    To manage:

    How BON K2 TABLET Works

BON K2 TABLET helps in promoting bone health, whereas calcitriol works by aiding the body to absorb more calcium from food or supplements, which also regulates the production of parathyroid hormone (the chemical responsible for maintaining calcium and phosphorus balance in the body).

Calcium Citrate Malate works by facilitating calcium retention and bone accrual, which leads to the consolidation and maintenance of bone mass, thus reducing the risk of bone fracture and osteoporosis.

Menaquinone works by increasing collagen production through osteoblastic cells and inhibiting calcium deposits in the arteries, thus increasing healthy bone deposits and thereby managing osteoporosis in affected individuals.

How to use BON K2 TABLET

Take BON K2 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
