    Introduction About BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION

    BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION contains Bepotastine which belongs to the group of medicines called as Antihistamines. It is indicated in the management of itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.

    Allergic conjunctivitis is a common allergic condition of the eye affecting the outer lining of the eye (conjunctiva) to the particles in the surroundings to which a person is allergic. It can appear as red, watery, itchy, or swollen eyes.

    If you use contact lenses, you should remove the contact lenses before using BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION and can put them back after 10 minutes of use.

    Before using BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, heart or lung diseases.

    BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION is not recommended for use in children below 2 years of age. Prior consultation must be taken for the use of BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION in pregnant and breast-feeding women.

    The most common side effects of using BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION are mild taste, irritation in the eyes, headache, swelling of nose and throat from inside. Ask for your doctor’s advice if any of these doesn’t improve or worsen.

    How BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION Works

    BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION belongs to antihistamines which blocks a certain chemical called histamine which is responsible for the allergic reaction. It also supresses the movement of certain cells (eosinophils) into the inflamed (red, swollen) tissue to manage tissue damage and worsening of allergic inflammation of the outer lining of the eyeball.

    Use BEPODROPS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION as advised by your doctor. It is for ophthalmic use only. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, condition and body weight.
