The Bao Health Two Piece Open Ostomy Bag is a drainable pouch system designed for individuals with a colostomy or ileostomy. This two-piece system allows for the pouch to be changed without removing the skin barrier. It features an integrated filter to manage gas and neutralize odors, and a simple velcro closure for secure and convenient emptying. The pouch is made with a water-repellent fabric and an odor-barrier film for discretion and comfort.
Two-Piece System: Allows for easy attachment and removal of the pouch from the skin barrier, enabling pouch changes without replacing the baseplate.
Integrated Filter: The built-in filter helps to release gas, which can reduce pouch ballooning, and neutralizes odors for increased discretion.
Velcro Closure: Features an integrated hook-and-loop (Velcro) closure that provides a secure and easy-to-use system for draining the pouch.
Skin-Friendly Materials: Made from soft, skin-friendly materials with a water-repellent fabric on the side facing the skin for enhanced comfort during wear.
Odor-Barrier Film: The pouch incorporates a film that is designed to be noiseless and effectively seal odors inside the bag.
Q: What is the function of the filter in this ostomy bag?
A: The built-in filter helps to control odours and prevents the pouch from ballooning by releasing gas.
Q: How does the two-piece system work?
A: A two-piece system involves a skin barrier (flange) that fits around the stoma and a separate pouch that attaches to the barrier, allowing for pouch changes without removing the barrier from the skin.
Q: What does the 50 mm size indicate?
A: The 50 mm size refers to the flange size, which is the part that connects to the skin barrier. This product has a cut-to-fit flange up to 50mm for a more customized fit.
Q: Is this pouch suitable for both colostomies and ileostomies?
A: Yes, this open ostomy pouch is designed for use with either a colostomy or an ileostomy.
Q: How is the pouch secured at the bottom?
A: This pouch features a Velcro closure, also referred to as a magic closure, for secure and adjustable fastening at the bottom for draining.

If using a cut-to-fit barrier, measure your stoma and trace the size onto the skin barrier, then cut the opening about 3mm larger than the stoma.
Apply the skin barrier, ensuring it adheres well to the skin.
Attach the pouch to the skin barrier flange, pressing them together until you hear a 'click' to confirm it is securely locked.
To empty, open the velcro closure at the bottom of the pouch and drain the contents.
