Introduction About B LONG 100MG(L)
B LONG 100MG(L) contains pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin derivatives. It is used to manage low levels of vitamin B6 levels in the blood. The symptoms of B6 deficiency are weak immunity, anemia, itchy rashes, scaly skin on the lips, cracks at the corners of the mouth, a swollen tongue and other neurological symptoms confusion and depression.
B LONG 100MG(L) is also used to manage idiopathic sideroblastic anemia (a disease in which the bone marrow is not able to produce normal red blood cells) which causes weakness, fatigue, breathing difficulties, and enlargement of the liver and spleen. Additionally, B LONG 100MG(L) is used for the management of peripheral neuritis caused by isoniazid (medicine given for tuberculosis). Peripheral neuritis is a disease that occurs due to nerve damage that results in pain and numbness, especially in hands and feet.
B LONG 100MG(L) is not recommended for use in children. B LONG 100MG(L) should be used with caution if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The regular supplemental doses of vitamin B6 don’t report any side effects while taking large daily doses may result in developing a condition called peripheral neuropathy (pins and needles pain in body extremities). Consult your doctor if any of your symptoms get worse or persist.

How B LONG 100MG(L) Works
B LONG 100MG(L) helps in managing Vitamin B6 deficiency and restores its wide range of metabolic functions like a breakdown of carbohydrates, fatty acids, brain amines and transportation of nutrients throughout the body. In the case of idiopathic sideroblastic anaemia, B LONG 100MG(L) helps iron in the blood to get converted to haemoglobin and as a result, helps in the production of RBCs as well as the management of its symptoms.
How to use B LONG 100MG(L)
Take B LONG 100MG(L) exactly as advised by your doctor. B LONG 100MG(L) can be taken with or without food and drinks. Unless instructed differently, take your tablets with a glass of water. B LONG 100MG(L) can be crushed only if you have difficulty swallowing the whole tablet. Your doctor will decide the correct dosage and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and severity of the condition. Consult your doctor before taking it.

Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking B LONG 100MG(L), inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- medicines used to manage Parkinson’s disease (Ex. levodopa)
- medicines used to manage tuberculosis (Ex. isoniazid)
- medicines used for birth control (Ex. aviane, estradiol)
- medicines used to manage arthritis (Ex. penicillamine)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of B LONG 100MG(L), consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. If possible, take a tablet strip or bottle along with you so that doctor can correctly determine the dose. Symptoms of overdosage include headache, nausea, indigestion, breast tenderness, photosensitivity (on exposure to the sun the skin may get burns) and skin lesions (sacs filled with fluid occur on the skin known as vesicular dermatoses).
