Introduction About AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL
AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL is a combination of Calcitriol, Calcium carbonate, Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Eicosapentaenoic acid, Elemental boron, Folic acid, and Methylcobalamin which belongs to the group of medicines called Nutritional Supplements. It is used to manage joint inflammation, osteoporosis, different types of arthritis, osteopenia, etc.
Osteoporosis is a condition that causes thinning and weakening of bones because of excessive absorption of calcium from the bones. It is characterized by symptoms such as bleeding gums, weak grip strength, brittle fingernails, loss of height, frequent fractures, and neck and back pain.
Arthritis is a condition causing inflammation of one or more joints. It is characterized by symptoms such as swelling, pain, stiffness, and diminished motion in the involved joints. Osteopenia is the reduction in bone mineral density (BMD), resulting in bone weakening. It is characterized by symptoms such as back pain, loss of height, stooping in posture, and an increased frequency of bone fractures.
AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL is not recommended for use if you are allergic to calcium, folic acid, calcitriol, or any other metabolite of vitamin D, such as alfacalcidol and cholecalciferol. It is also not recommended for use if you have kidney stones, high levels of calcium in your blood, metastatic calcification (extra deposits of calcium in your body), a deficiency of vitamin B12 (due to pernicious anaemia or a vegetarian diet), or are not well because of high levels of vitamin D in your body.
AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL should be used with caution in patients with signs of impaired kidney function who have a high tendency to kidney stone (calculus) formation, other kidney problems, or non-alcoholic fatty liver. AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in children (under 6 years of age) and elderly patients (aged 65 years or above).
The common side effects associated with the use of AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL are constipation, indigestion, nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor or a nearby hospital if any of the conditions worsen.

How AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL Works
AROBIA PLUS SOFTGEL helps in managing bone weakening, where Calcitriol plays a very important role in aiding the absorption of calcium by acting on certain gut cells to increase the production of calcium transport proteins, whereas calcium carbonate acts by directly increasing the calcium stores in the body.
B vitamins such as folic acid and methylcobalamin play a vital role in enhancing bone density, whereas docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid lower bone breakdown, suppress inflammation, and enhance calcium absorption from the blood.
Elemental boron plays a vital role in enhancing bone strength by increasing the half-life of bone-depositing agents such as oestrogen and vitamin D in the blood. Boron also enhances wound healing, reduces inflammation, and lowers the count of free radicals at the site of inflammation.
