Description

The Bionote Anigen Rapid E. Canis Ab Test Kit is a chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of antibodies to Ehrlichia canis in canine specimens. This diagnostic tool aids in identifying exposure to the bacterium that causes Canine Ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease that can lead to symptoms like fever, lethargy, and weight loss in dogs. The test can be performed using whole blood, serum, or plasma, providing a convenient option for veterinary professionals.

Rapid Diagnostic Tool: This is a chromatographic immunoassay that provides results without the need for additional laboratory equipment. Simple One-Step Process: The test involves a straightforward, single-step procedure for ease of use in a clinical setting. Versatile Specimen Compatibility: It is designed for use with canine whole blood, plasma, or serum, offering flexibility in sample collection. Clear Result Interpretation: The device has a test line (T) and a control line (C) for unambiguous reading of positive, negative, or invalid results. Comprehensive Kit: The package includes 10 test devices, assay diluents, anticoagulant tubes, and disposable capillary tubes for immediate use.

Q: Is this test kit intended for professional use?

A: Yes, this test kit is for veterinary diagnostic use only. A definitive clinical diagnosis should be made by a veterinarian after evaluating all clinical and laboratory findings.

Q: What does the Bionote Anigen Rapid E. Canis Ab Test Kit detect?

A: This test kit is a chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of Ehrlichia canis antibodies in a dog's whole blood, serum, or plasma.

Q: What samples can be used for this test?

A: The test can be performed using canine whole blood, plasma, or serum.

Q: How long does it take to get the results?

A: The test results should be interpreted at 20 minutes after starting the test. Results read after 30 minutes are not considered valid.

Q: What do the lines on the test mean?

A: The 'C' (Control) line should always appear for the test to be valid. The 'T' (Test) line will appear if Ehrlichia canis antibodies are present in the sample. The presence of both 'C' and 'T' lines indicates a positive result.

Direction for Use/Dosage

Ensure all reagents and samples are at room temperature (15-30°C) before starting. Remove the test device from its foil pouch and place it on a dry, flat surface. Using a capillary tube, apply 10µL of the canine whole blood, serum, or plasma sample into the sample hole on the device. Add 2-3 drops of the provided assay diluent into the sample hole. Interpret the test results at 20 minutes. Do not read the results after 30 minutes. A purple band on both the Control (C) and Test (T) lines indicates a positive result. A band on only the Control (C) line indicates a negative result. The test is invalid if the Control (C) line does not appear.
