    Description

The Bionote Anigen Rapid CDV Ag Test Kit is a diagnostic tool for the qualitative detection of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) antigen. This chromatographic immunoassay is designed for veterinary use to identify the presence of the CDV antigen in samples such as a dog's conjunctiva (eye), urine, serum, or plasma. Canine distemper is a contagious viral disease, and this test kit aids in its detection.

Rapid Detection: The test provides results within 5-10 minutes, allowing for prompt decision-making. Versatile Specimen Collection: It can detect the Canine Distemper Virus antigen from various samples, including conjunctiva, saliva, urine, plasma, or serum. High Accuracy: The test demonstrates a high degree of accuracy for identifying the CDV antigen when compared to Nested PCR methods. One-Step Procedure: The testing process is straightforward, involving a one-step procedure for quick and accurate analysis. Clear Results: The result is indicated by the appearance of a control line (C) and a test line (T); the presence of both lines signifies a positive result.

Q: What is the Bionote Anigen Rapid CDV Ag Test Kit?

A: It is a chromatographic immunoassay test kit designed for the qualitative detection of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) antigen. This kit is intended for veterinary diagnostic use only.

Q: What types of samples can be used with this test kit?

A: The test can be performed using samples from a dog's conjunctiva (the mucous membrane that covers the front of the eye and lines the inside of the eyelids), urine, serum, or plasma.

Q: How long does it take to see the results?

A: The test results should be interpreted within 5 to 10 minutes after starting the test. Results read after 20 minutes are not considered valid.

Q: Who should perform this test?

A: This test is for professional veterinary use. A definitive clinical diagnosis should not be based on a single test result but should be made by a veterinarian after evaluating all clinical and laboratory findings.

Q: How should the test kit be stored?

A: The kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C) or refrigerated. It should not be frozen and must be kept out of direct sunlight.

    Direction for Use/Dosage

    1. Collect the sample from the dog's conjunctiva, urine, or blood (serum/plasma). For conjunctival or urine samples, use the provided swab. For serum or plasma, use a dropper. 2. Insert the collected sample into the specimen tube containing the assay diluent. 3. Mix the sample with the diluent thoroughly to ensure proper extraction. 4. Using the provided dropper, add four drops of the mixed sample into the sample hole on the test device. 5. Read and interpret the test results between 5 and 10 minutes. A result is positive if both the control (C) and test (T) lines appear. A negative result shows only the control line. If the control line does not appear, the test is invalid.

    Safety Information/Precaution

For veterinary diagnostic use only. Handle all specimens as potentially infectious. Do not use the test kit if it is past its expiration date or if the pouch is damaged. Do not reuse the test kit. All components of the test must be at room temperature before use. Do not mix components from different kit lots. A definitive clinical diagnosis should be made by a veterinarian based on all clinical and laboratory findings, not just the result of this single test.
