Take this medicine preferably in the mornings with food. While taking AMLONG CT TABLET, do not drink alcohol/grapefruit juice or go for a low-salt diet, as they may make further reduce your blood pressure. Consult your doctor for the best diet that can suit your health condition.

    Uses Of AMLONG CT TABLET

    It is used to manage:

    • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
    • Heart failure
    • Angina (Prinzmetal angina)
    • Diabetes insipidus (a condition causing excessive urination and thirst)
    • Edema (fluid retention)

    How AMLONG CT TABLET Works

AMLONG CT TABLET contains two medicines namely amlodipine and chlorthalidone. Amlodipine is a vasodilator. It relaxes the blood vessels supplying various organs (such as heart, kidney, brain or others) which allows blood to flow more smoothly across the blood vessels.

Chlorthalidone is a diuretic (water pill). It removes the excess fluids and electrolytes (sodium and water) from the body in the form of urine. This action reduces fluid retention (edema) from the body. Collectively, these actions improve blood flow, reduces the strain on the heart and helps the heart to pump more blood with less pressure.

How to use AMLONG CT TABLET

Always take AMLONG CT TABLET as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. AMLONG CT TABLET is preferably taken during the mornings with food.
