Introduction About ALPHA D3
ALPHA D3 0.25MCG TABLET is a dietary supplement which helps to manage low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcaemia) and softening and deformity of the bones due to lack of calcium (rickets or osteomalacia). It contains Alfacalcidol as an active ingredient.
Alfacalcidol belongs to a group of medicines called Vitamin D analogues. It is a type of vitamin D. It is an active metabolite of Vitamin D, which is an important function in regulation of the calcium balance and bone metabolism. Vitamin D controls the levels of two substances in your body which is calcium and phosphate for healthy bones and teeth. Alfacalcidol works by increasing the amount of vitamin D in your body.
Take ALPHA D3 0.25MCG TABLET as directed by physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not take this medicine, if you have high levels of calcium in blood. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
