Introduction About ALKAMAX SYRUP
Alkamax Sugar Free Raspberry Flavour Oral solution is a Urinary Alkalizer used to maintain the alkaline pH of the urine in patients with uric acid and cystine calculi of the urinary tract, particularly when the administration of sodium salts contraindicated or undesirable. It is also used as adjuvant with uricosuric agents in gout therapy and used in acidosis associated with certain renal tubular disorders. It contains Potassium Citrate and Citric acid as active ingredients that helps in optimizing urinary pH.
Potassium citrate and Citric acid acts as a systemic alkalizer, which combines and helps to make your urine less acidic. It is also used in acidosis. Potassium citrate does not neutralize the gastric juice or disturb digestion. It produces bicarbonate ions after metabolism in blood which help in making the urine alkaline, aiding flushing of the urinary tract.
Take three to six teaspoonfuls of Alkamax Sugar Free Raspberry Flavour Oral solution dilute in one glass of water at bedtime after meals. Administer three to six teaspoonfuls (15 to 30 mL) of Alkamax Sugar Free Raspberry Flavour Oral solution diluted in one glass of water at bedtime after meals in children or use as advised by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
