Wash your hands before and after use. Remove the foil wrapper from the suppository. If it is too soft, you can chill it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or run cold water over it before unwrapping. You may moisten the tip of the suppository with cool water. Lie on your side with your lower leg straight and your upper leg bent towards your stomach. Gently insert the suppository, pointed end first, into the rectum. Remain lying down for about 15 minutes to allow the suppository to be retained.
