    Introduction About AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES contains Levosalbutamol which belongs to the group of medicines called Bronchodilators. It is indicated in the management or management of bronchospasm (constriction of airways) in adults, adolescents, and children between 6-11 years old with reversible obstructive airway disease.

    Your doctor might ask you to take several diagnostic tests before starting the management with AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES.

    It should be used with caution in patients having cardiovascular disorders (coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias, and high blood pressure), kidney diseases, epilepsy, overactive thyroid gland, and diabetes.

    Caution must be exercised while using AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Consult with your doctor before using.

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES is not recommended for use in children below 6 years of age. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any side effects.

    How AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES Works

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES helps in the management of bronchospasm acts by relaxing smooth muscle in the bronchial tubes (airway) to increase air flow and relieve shortness of breath by activation of an enzyme which inhibits the release of cells called mast cells which are responsible for causing asthma.

    How to use AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES

    Use AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES as advised by your physician. It is for oral inhalational use only. It is administered by nebulisation using with nebuliser (with a face mask or mouthpiece) which is connected to an air compressor. Your doctor will guide on how to use the nebuliser. Do not exceed the recommended dose of AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES. Check the label for directions before use.

    Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES

    Rare

    Stop using AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES and inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • sudden shortness of breath (constriction of airways)
    • asthma getting worsen
    • severe allergic rection presenting as swelling of the face, throat or tongue, hives, rash, breathing problems
    • heart problems (changes in heart rate or blood pressure)
    • low potassium levels in blood

    Warning & Precautions

    Pregnancy

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES should be used with caution in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby as safety and effectiveness to the baby and mother has not been established yet. Dose will be adjusted by your doctor. Consult your doctor before using it.

    Breastfeeding

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it is not known if AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES passes through mother’s milk. Consult your doctor before using it.

    Kidney

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before using it.

    Allergy

    Do not use AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES if you are allergic to Levosalbutamol or any other ingredients of this medicine.

    Heart Disease

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases such as coronary insufficiency, irregular heartbeat, and high blood pressure. Consult your doctor before using.

    Others

    Before using AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES tell your doctor if you have:

    • epilepsy
    • thyroid problems
    • diabetes

    Use in pediatrics:

    AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES has not been shown to be safe and effective in children younger than 6 years of age. Consult your doctor before using.

    Use in geriatrics:

    Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of the management with AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES for you depending upon your age, health condition and body weight. Kidney function will be monitored. Consult your doctor before using.

    Interactions

    A. Drug–Drug Interactions:

    Before using AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

    • other short acting bronchodilators such as albuterol, terbutaline (used to manage asthma)
    • beta blockers such as metoprolol, propranolol (used to manage irregular heartbeat)
    • digoxin (used to manage heart diseases)
    • diuretics (water medicines) such as furosemide, chlorothiazide
    • isocarboxazid, tricyclic antidepressants such as nortriptyline, amitriptyline (used to manage depression)
    • halothane, enflurane, isoflurane, desflurane, sevoflurane (used as anaesthetics)
    • corticosteroids (anti-inflammatory drug Ex. dexamethasone, hydrocortisone)

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally use too much of AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. The symptoms of overdosage of AEROZEST 0.31MG RESPULES are fastened heart rate, nervousness, headache, tremor, dry mouth, palpitation, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and sleeplessness.
