Introduction About 8X 1+1 SHAMPOO
8X Shampoo is a topical preparation used in adults to manage seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp (a skin condition that causes scaly patches, red skin, and dandruff). It contains ciclopirox and zinc pyrithione as active ingredients that help in controlling the growth and reduction of Malassezia population (a causative agent of seborrhoeic dermatitis).
Ciclopirox is a type of antifungal agent that interrupts with the protein synthesis of fungal cells. Zinc pyrithione is known to have both keratolytic (break down the outer layer of the skin and help it to lock moisture) and antifungal action.
Shake the bottle properly. Wet your hair and scalp thoroughly. Apply 5 mL of shampoo for short hair and 10 mL for longer hair (below the shoulder). Massage into the scalp and keep it on for 3 minutes for effective management. Wash thoroughly with water. Avoid contact with eyes. Consult your doctor if you experience any allergic reactions while using this medicine.
