Introduction About VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET
VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET contains Diosmin which belongs to a group of medicines called Phlebotonics. It is used in adults in the management of short-term (2-3 months) relief of symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency (poor flow of venous blood) along with conventional management. It is also used to manage symptoms of acute haemorrhoidal (piles).
Chronic venous insufficiency occurs when the veins in the leg don’t allow blood to flow-back to the heart. Symptoms include pain, swelling, cramps, skin changes, varicose veins and leg ulcers.
VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having rare hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. It should be used with caution if you have liver or kidney disease. VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women and breastfeeding women.
Safety data of VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET in children and adolescents under 18 years of age has not been established yet. Consult your doctor before taking it. The most common side effects of taking VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and indigestion. Contact your doctor, if any of the symptoms worsen.

How VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET Works
VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET works by blocking the action of chemical messengers (prostaglandins, thromboxane A2, which cause inflammation) reducing swelling (inflammation) and improving blood flow in the veins to restore normal vein function.
How to use VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET
Take VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicines with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET
Common
- dizziness, tiredness
- anxiety, cramps
- drowsiness
- muscle spasms
- insomnia
- palpitations, hypotension (low blood pressure)
- nausea, vomiting
- diarrhea, indigestion
Uncommon
- gastrointestinal disorders such as colitis
Rare
- headache
- malaise (feeling discomfort)
- vertigo (spinning sensation)
- rash, itching, urticaria
Stop taking VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, eyelids and mouth causing difficulty in breathing)
How To Manage Side Effects
Nausea or vomiting:
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods.Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices to keep you hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own for managing diarrhea. Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Dizziness or drowsiness:
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operate any machines while you are feeling dizzy. Do not consume alcohol, as it can aggravate your dizziness. Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Indigestion:
Eat smaller meals but take them frequently. Eat and exercise regularly. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.

Pregnancy
VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby as safety data has not been established yet. Consult your doctor before taking it.

Breastfeeding
VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it is not known if this medicine passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it.

Driving and Using Machines
Do not drive or use machines while taking VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET if you feel dizzy or drowsy.

Kidney
VENUSMIN 300MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease as safety data has not been established yet. Consult your doctor before taking it.

Allergy
