TOUJEO SOLOSTAR 300IU contain insulin glargine which belongs to a group of medicine called long-acting insulins. It is a modified insulin, very similar to human insulin. It is used to treat diabetes mellitus in adults, adolescents and children aged 2 years and above. Diabetes mellitus is a disease where your body does not produce enough insulin to control the level of blood sugar. It has a long and steady blood-sugar-lowering action.
Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor. If you stop taking this medicine, your blood sugar levels may rise very high which may put you at risk of serious complications. It is only a part of the treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise and weight reduction as advised by your doctor.
