TOPCEF DT 50MG TABLET contains Cefixime, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, sinus, respiratory tract (bronchus, lungs), urinary tract, biliary tract, and genital tract. It can also be used in the management of typhoid fever.

Unlike other cephalosporins, it can also remain unaffected by the toxic proteins produced by the bacteria (such as beta-lactamases). Collectively, these actions destroy the susceptible bacteria, manage their further growth and multiplication, and reduce the severity of the infection.
How to use TOPCEF DT 50MG TABLET
Take TOPCEF DT 50MG TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food.
For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow TOPCEF DT 50MG TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse the medicine in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the medicine immediately after reconstitution.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight, and severity of the infection.
