What is Tarsalic Lotion and why is it given?
Tarsalic Lotion is a scalp lotion which is used in the treatment of itching and flaking associated with conditions like psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff of the scalp.
How to use Tarsalic Lotion?
Always use Tarsalic Lotion as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Take a small quantity of this lotion. Wet your hair, apply and massage the lotion in the wet scalp for 5 minutes and rinse it with water. Do not use soap or shampoo before or after using this lotion. Ask for your doctor’s advice if you notice any unusual side effects.
What precautions need to be taken while using Tarsalic Lotion?
Tarsalic Lotion should not be used on broken or inflamed skin since it may cause skin irritation. Avoid contact with eyes and if Tarsalic Lotion gets into eyes, rinse it with clean water or if irritation persists, contact your doctor.
Is Tarsalic Lotion safe for use in children?
It is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Your doctor will decide on the correct dose or select a suitable alternative therapy for your child.
Does Tarsalic Lotion have any side effects?
The main side effects of using this lotion are skin or scalp irritation and staining of skin or hair (especially in patients with bleached, blonde, dyed or grey hair). Ask for your doctor’s advice if any of these worsen or doesn’t improve.
