SITCOM FORTE TABLET is a combination of Euphorbia prostrata extract and Calcium dobesilate which belongs to the group of medicines called Anorectal preparations and Vasoprotectives respectively. It is used to treat hemorrhoids and provides symptomatic relief from grade 3 & 4 hemorrhoids following hemorrhoidectomy.
Hemorrhoids also called piles, are swollen veins in the anus and lower rectum with symptoms of itching or irritation in anal region, pain or discomfort, swelling around anus and bleeding.
Before taking SITCOM FORTE TABLET, inform your doctor if you have bleeding disorder, kidney or liver problems, diabetes related eye disorder and venous disorder (especially varicose veins).
SITCOM FORTE TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Safety and effectiveness of SITCOM FORTE TABLET in children and adolescents have not been established yet.
The side effects of taking SITCOM FORTE TABLET are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, itching and joint pain. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
SITCOM FORTE TABLET works by reducing bleeding in which euphorbia prostrata extract exerts an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action which stops the bleeding by reducing the blood vessels leakage and fragility and improves the blood flow. Calcium dobesilate works by improving the blood flow in veins by decreasing the thickness of blood and relaxes the muscles of the affected part of the body (anus) by reducing the leakage and platelet aggregation.
Take SITCOM FORTE TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking SITCOM FORTE TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Nausea or vomiting:
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily, fried and spicy foods. Do not perform any strenuous activities immediately after eating. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Diarrhea:
Drink lot of fluids such as water, squash or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own for treating diarrhea without consulting your doctor.
Skin rash:
Do not scratch the affected area. Wear protective clothing while going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
SITCOM FORTE TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby. Consult your doctor before taking it.
SITCOM FORTE TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it is excreted in the breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it.
SITCOM FORTE TABLET does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.
SITCOM FORTE TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with impaired kidney function. Consult your doctor before taking it.
SITCOM FORTE TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with impaired liver function. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Do not take SITCOM FORTE TABLET if you are allergic to Euphorbia prostrata extract or Calcium dobesilate or any other ingredients of this medicine.
