INTRODUCTION

SERETRA 80MG contains Seratrodast which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-asthmatic agents. It is used in the prophylactic management of mild to moderate asthma. Asthma is a condition affecting the airways leading to their narrowness and swelling and production of extra mucus. This can make breathing troublesome and trigger coughing, a whistling sound (wheezing) when you breathe out and shortness of breath.

Seratrodast helps in management of mild to moderate asthma by acting on certain receptors called thromboxane A2 receptors which are responsible for constriction of vessels. By inhibiting this receptor, SERETRA 80MG helps to relax the muscles in the airways and making the breath easier. Prior to the treatment with SERETRA 80MG, your doctor might ask you to take up several diagnostic tests to better understand your existing condition.

SERETRA 80MG is not recommended for use in patients having liver failure and acute asthmatic attack. SERETRA 80MG should be used during pregnancy only if advised by your doctor and it is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women. Consult with your doctor before taking it. SERETRA 80MG is not intended for use in children below 18 years of age. The most common side effects of taking SERETRA 80MG are nausea, loss of appetite, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, constipation, dry mouth, rash, itching, and fast heartbeat. Ask for your doctor’s advise if any of these symptoms worsen or doesn’t improve.
