    Introduction About SEBONAC GEL

    SEBONAC GEL contains Salicylic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Keratolytic agents. SEBONAC GEL is used manage skin conditions such as acne, blemishes (discolored spot-on skin), skin redness, and other skin diseases.

    It is also used to manage dandruff, corn & calluses (thickened layers of skin) in affected individuals.

    SEBONAC GEL is not recommended for use in patients allergic to salicylic acid. It is also not recommended for use in patients with active inflammation/dermatitis, infection (at the application site), acute viral infection, skin malignancy, and/or tanned skin.

    Before applying SEBONAC GEL, inform your doctor if you are scheduled for surgery, and/or suffering from any kidney problems.

    SEBONAC GEL is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women. It is considered to be safe to be used in breastfeeding women. Avoid applying the medicine on skin areas which might come in direct contact with infant’s skin.

    SEBONAC GEL should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged 1-15 years). It is also advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years). Consult your doctor before applying the medicine.

    The most common side effects of applying SEBONAC GEL are erythema (skin redness), and/or dryness of skin. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.

    Uses Of SEBONAC GEL

    Manages and Prevents:

    • Acne, skin diseases, blemishes (discolored spot-on skin), and skin redness
    • Dandruff, corn & calluses (thickened layers of skin) in affected individuals

    How SEBONAC GEL Works

    SEBONAC GEL works by penetrating the affected area of skin and causing destruction to the bacteria which also reduces oil production in the skin thus managing and managing the occurrence of skin conditions such as acne, blemishes, dandruff, and corn & calluses in affected individuals.

    How to use SEBONAC GEL

    Always apply SEBONAC GEL as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash your hands before use and work into a lather by adding water. Apply a thin layer and massage over wet skin/affected skin area. Avoid applying this medicine around your eyes, including eyelids. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of SEBONAC GEL

    Common

    • erythema (skin redness)
    • dryness of skin

    Rare

    • undesirable pigment loss at the site of application
    • scar

    Stop applying SEBONAC GEL and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • excessive burning, stinging or peeling at the site of application

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Dry Skin:

    Try moisturizing your skin with an ointment, cream, or lotion 2 or 3 times a day, or as often as needed.  Moisturizers help to keep the area moisture, so they work best on damp skin. After you bathe, pat your skin dry then apply your moisturizer. Try to avoid using skin care products and soaps that contain alcohol, fragrances, dyes, or other chemicals.

    Pregnancy

    SEBONAC GEL is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before applying SEBONAC GEL.

    Breastfeeding

    SEBONAC GEL is considered to be safe to be used in breastfeeding women. Avoid applying the medicine on skin areas which might come in direct contact with infant’s skin. Consult your doctor before applying the medicine.

    Kidney

    SEBONAC GEL is used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before applying the medicine.

    Allergy

    Do not use SEBONAC GEL if you are allergic to salicylic acid and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.

    Others

    SEBONAC GEL is not recommended for use if you have :

    • active inflammation/dermatitis
    • infection at the application site
    • acute viral infection
    • skin malignancy
    • tanned skin

    Before applying SEBONAC GEL, inform your doctor if you:
