REMO TABLET contains Remogliflozin which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-diabetic agents. REMO TABLET is used to treat type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone are insufficient to provide adequate glycaemic control in adult patients.
REMO TABLET is also used as a combination therapy with metformin, when both metformin therapy and diet & exercise are inadequate provide glycaemic control in affected individuals.
REMO TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Remogliflozin. It is also not recommended for use in patients with liver problems (such as moderate to severe liver impairment), and/or kidney problems (such as moderate to severe renal impairment).

The most common side effects of taking REMO TABLET are constipation, diarrhoea, weakness, fever, chills, urinary tract infection, and/or headache. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
REMO TABLET helps in reducing blood glucose by increasing the excretion of glucose via urine. It does so by acting on certain proteins in the body which are responsible for the reabsorption of glucose from the kidney. REMO TABLET inhibits the action of these proteins hence, stopping the reabsorption of glucose and increasing urinary glucose excretion thus treating type 2 diabetes in affected individuals.
Take REMO TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, health condition, and body weight.
Stop taking REMO TABLET and inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Constipation:
Eat plenty of fiber rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly. Ask for your doctor’s advice if constipation does not improve.
Diarrhea:
Drink a lot of fluids, such as water, fruit juice, or squash to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine by yourself without consulting your doctor. Ask for your doctor’s advice if diarrhea does not improve.
Headache:
If REMO TABLET causes headache, then take rest and drink plenty of fluids. Try to avoid drinking alcohol. Ask your doctor to recommend a painkiller. Headaches should usually go away after the first week of taking REMO TABLET. If it lasts more than a week or severe, inform your doctor.
REMO TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy and in women planning for pregnancy. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraceptive measures while in treatment with REMO TABLET. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
REMO TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women since it is not known whether the medicine may pass through breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
Do not drive or operate machines if you experience shaking, sweating, change in vision and/or feel dizzy after taking REMO TABLET.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking REMO TABLET since it may increase risk of diabetic ketoacidosis.
REMO TABLET is not recommended for use in patients suffering from kidney problems such as moderate to severe renal impairment. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
REMO TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with liver problems such as moderate to severe liver impairment. Consult your doctor before taking the medicines.
Do not take REMO TABLET if you are allergic to Remogliflozin, and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Overdosage:

What if I forget to take a dose of REMO TABLET?
If you forgot to take a dose of REMO TABLET then do not take the missed dose between meals. Wait until your next scheduled dose and meal and continue taking your medicine as per normal. Do not take a double dose of REMO TABLET to make up for a forgotten dose. Consult your doctor.
Can REMO TABLET be used in children and adolescents?
No. REMO TABLET is not recommended to use in children and adolescents (below 18 years of age). Consult your doctor before administering the medicine to the child.
What other things I need to take care of while taking REMO TABLET?
Since REMO TABLET works by acting on kidneys and excreting out excess blood sugar via urine, your urine test may test positive for presence of sugars in it. Also, your doctor may ask you for a regular kidney check-up while taking REMO TABLET. For all diabetic patients it is very important to take care of your feet regularly and strictly follow the advice regarding foot care given by your doctor in order to avoid gangrene. Consult with your doctor if you experience any unusual side effects.
Does REMO TABLET affects my ability to drive?
REMO TABLET may cause hypoglycaemia (low levels of blood sugar). Do not drive or use machines if you experience symptoms of hypoglycaemia such as shaking, sweating, change in vision and feel dizzy after taking REMO TABLET.
Can REMO TABLET be taken by elder patients?
REMO TABLET is not recommended for use in elderly patients above 75 years and should be used with caution in patients above the age of 65 years taking care of their kidney function. Consult your doctor before taking.
What is the best time to take REMO TABLET?
Take REMO TABLET as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without meals. Try to take REMO TABLET at the same time everyday which will make you remember to take it. Keep following the diet and exercises your doctor has advised you to.
