PROGG SACHET contains Lactobacillus Rhamnosus which belongs to the group of medicines called Probiotics. It is used in children and adults for the prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, acute infectious diarrhoea and traveller’s diarrhoea.
PROGG SACHET is not recommended for use in patients with severe immunocompromised states, bowel perforation (hole in intestine) or patients at risk of bowel perforation. Consult your doctor before taking it.
PROGG SACHET should be used with caution in patients suffering from short gut syndrome (condition in which the body is unable to absorb nutrients from the food), diarrhoea lasting for more than 2 days accompanied with fever, compromised immune system due to chemotherapy or HIV infection, recurring vaginal infections and urinary tract infections and diabetes.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to have a baby or breast-feeding before taking PROGG SACHET. This medicine can be used in children. Consult your child’s doctor for advice before giving it to your child.
The most common side effects of taking PROGG SACHET are flatulence (gas) and mild abdominal discomfort. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.
