A. PRATHAM 500MG TABLET is used to treat mild to moderate susceptible infections caused by bacteria and other micro-organisms which includes chest, throat, nasal infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sore throat and sinusitis). It is also used to treat ear infections and skin & soft tissue infections (such as an abscess/boil) which is also indicated for use to treat sexually transmitted diseases such as cervicitis (caused by organisms such as Chlamydia trachomatis/ Neisseria gonorrhoea) in affected individuals.

A. PRATHAM 500MG TABLET works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis (essential for the bacteria to growth) that results in its destruction thus preventing its growth and spread of infection in affected individuals.
Q. What are the most common side effects of taking PRATHAM 500MG TABLET?
A. The most common side effects of taking PRATHAM 500MG TABLET are stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, flatulence, dizziness, headache, and/or skin rash. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
Q. How to take PRATHAM 500MG TABLET?
A. Take PRATHAM 500MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Q. Who should avoid taking PRATHAM 500MG TABLET?
A. PRATHAM 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to azithromycin, other antibiotics such as erythromycin/clarithromycin (macrolides), and/or ketolides. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from liver diseases such as cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
