PIROX GEL contains Piroxicam which is one of the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It will help to relieve the pain and reduce swelling that affecting the joints and muscles when rubbed into the skin over the affected area. It is used to treat the rheumatism, sprains, strains and mild osteoarthritis of joints (knees, wrists, ankles etc).
Always use this medicine as directed by physician. To apply this gel onto the skin affected area do rub the gel into the skin until the gel disappears. It is for external use only. It is not recommended for the use in children and adolescents under 12 years. It should be used with caution in the pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are using or used or might use any other medicines. The side effects include allergic reactions such as itching, rash, swelling of the skin.
It works by preventing the production of some natural chemicals in your body which cause pain and inflammation.

Skin itching:
Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.
