Phytoral Ointment belongs to a group of medicines called antifungals which is used to treat fungal infections of the skin. It works by killing the fungus that causes infections such as athlete’s foot, thrush, and ringworm. This ointment should be used regularly to get the maximum benefit from it. Do not use this ointment for longer than your doctor has told you. Skin infections will usually get better after 2 to 4 weeks and if the condition does not improve after 2 to 4 weeks of treatment, Consult your doctor. Wash your socks or tights thoroughly and change your shoes daily if possible, if you have Athlete’s foot.
Phytoral Ointment generally won’t cause any side effects. If you experience any application site reactions such as dry skin, skin burning, skin irritation, skin itching and skin redness or any other allergic reactions, check with your physician.
Skin irritation:
Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.
Store at room temperature 15-25°C and keep out of reach of children.
