Introduction About OXALGIN SPRAY
Oxalgin Spray is used to provide local symptomatic relief of musculoskeletal pain (such as back pain, ankle pain, knee pain, shoulder pain and wrist pain) due to sprains, strains and sports injury. It contains diclofenac, methyl salicylate and menthol as active ingredients to provide instant relief from pain.
Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which provides relief from pain and inflammation by inhibiting the factors that cause inflammation and pain called prostaglandins. Methyl salicylate acts by dilating the blood vessels and increasing the blood flow. It causes irritation of the skin and as a result of counter irritation, there is a sensation of warmth and relief in musculoskeletal pain. Menthol acts by imparting coolness to the skin and then warmth.
Always use Oxalgin Spray as advised by the doctor. It is for external use only and shake well before each use. Spray the contents away from 8-10 cm distance on the affected area for three to four times a day or as directed by the doctor, do not spray on open wounds. Do not use Oxalgin Spray if you are allergic to any of its components.
