ONDIRON 2MG DROPS contains Ondansetron which belongs to a group of medicines called Anti-emetics. ONDIRON 2MG DROPS is used to prevent nausea and vomiting in children caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery.
Before giving ONDIRON 2MG DROPS, to your child, inform your doctor if your child have or had severe constipation, heart problems, liver, kidney problems, imbalance with the levels of salts in your blood, (potassium, sodium, and magnesium), or have been scheduled for any surgery. During the therapy, your doctor would regularly monitor your child’s health to avoid the risk of side effects.
Your doctor will prescribe the right dose and duration depends on the child’s age, body weight and health condition, so stick to the dose, time, and duration prescribed by the doctor. Minor and temporary side effects may be experienced after the intake of this medicine. These includes headache, flushing and constipation.
Generally, these effects subside once the child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, in case of prolonged or bothersome events, consult your doctor immediately without any delay. Inform your doctor about your child’s complete medical history including any previous episodes of allergies.
