OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE contains Sibutramine which belongs to the group of medicines called Anorexiant or Anti-obesity agents. It is used for weight loss and weight maintenance. It is to be used as part of a comprehensive weight management program supervised by your doctor, that includes a reduced calorie diet and appropriate physical activity. You will lose more weight if you increase your physical activity, in addition to eating sensibly.
OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE is not recommended for patients with congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, angina pectoris, arrhythmias, and a prior heart attack, severe liver and kidney disease. Before taking OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE inform your doctor if you have migraine headaches, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and gallstones. OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
The most common side effects of taking OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE are dry mouth, anorexia, insomnia (inability to fall asleep) and constipation. Consult your doctor for advice if any of the above side effects worsens or persists for a longer duration.

OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE works by making you feel full sooner. Sibutramine has been shown to reduce body weight by dual actions, like by reduction of food intake through enhancement of satiety, and increase of energy expenditure by induction of thermogenesis. It also produces its therapeutic effects primarily by serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibition.
How to use OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE
Take OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

- a suffering from anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa
- seizures or convulsions
- eye disorder (narrow angle glaucoma)

A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking OBESAVE 10MG CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- monoamine oxidase inhibitors (used to manage depression or Parkinson’s Disease)
- decongestants
- phenylpropanolamine, ephedrine, or pseudoephedrine
- anti-inflammatory medicines (e.g. NSAIDS)
- tryptophan
