Introduction About NUTRIKA TABLET
NUTRIKA TABLET is Alpha Lipoic Acid, Biotin, Cholecalciferol, Folic Acid, Methylcobalamin, and Pyridoxine which belongs to the group of medicines called Multivitamins & Antioxidants. It is used to manage of diabetic neuropathy, nephropathy, and retinopathy.
Diabetic neuropathy is a condition in which nerve damage occurs due to high blood sugar (glucose) levels throughout the body, but more often in the legs and feet. It is characterised by symptoms such as tingling sensations, numbness, pain, weakness, cramps, and extreme sensitivity to touch in the affected area.
Diabetic nephropathy is a condition in which the kidneys stop functioning properly due to high blood glucose levels. It is characterised by symptoms such as worsening blood pressure control, swelling in hands and feet, an increased urge to urinate, confusion, difficulty concentrating, and shortness of breath.
Diabetic retinopathy is a condition that occurs due to damage to the blood vessels supplying the retina of the eyes due to high blood glucose levels. It is characterised by symptoms such as floaters, blurriness, dark areas of vision, and difficulty perceiving colours.
NUTRIKA TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to cholecalciferol. It is also not recommended for use in patients with hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, hypervitaminosis D, kidney failure, kidney stones, or a tendency to have kidney stones.
NUTRIKA TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases, heart diseases, and narrowing of arteries. NUTRIKA TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. NUTRIKA TABLET is not recommended for use by children (below 12 years). NUTRIKA TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (above 70 years).

How to use NUTRIKA TABLET
Take NUTRIKA TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

How To Manage Side Effects

Constipation
Try to eat more high-fibre foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cereals, and drink plenty of water. Try doing exercise regularly (going for a daily walk or run). If this does not help, inform your doctor for receiving alternate managements for constipation.

Indigestion
Avoid taking tea, coffee, cola, or alcohol. Try to lose your weight in case you are overweight. Try doing regular exercising. Stay hydrated and avoid fasting.

Nausea And Vomiting
Try to take NUTRIKA TABLET with or just after a meal or a snack. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.

- have high levels of calcium in the blood

- have sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition that affects the lungs, heart, and kidneys)

- medicines used to manage epilepsy such as barbiturates Ex. amobarbital, anti-convulsants Ex. carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone
- medicines containing vitamin D, multi-vitamins
- medicines used to manage irregular heartbeat Ex. digoxin, digitoxin
- medicines used to manage high blood pressure such as diuretics (water tablets) Ex. bendroflumethiazide
- calcium supplements
- medicines used to manage tuberculosis Ex. rifampicin, isoniazid
- medicines used to manage high blood cholesterol levels Ex. orlistat, cholestyramine, liquid paraffin
- medicines used to manage fungal infections Ex. ketoconazole, itraconazole
- medicine used to manage some forms of cancer Ex. actinomycin
- medicines used to manage inflammation and pain such as glucocorticosteroids Ex. hydrocortisone or prednisolone
B. Drug-Food Interactions:
Avoid eat food which are rich in vitamin D (dairy products like milk) or have added vitamin D while taking NUTRIKA TABLET. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of NUTRIKA TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
