What MICROCID SR is used for?

It is used in the treatment of,

  • moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis including acute flares of chronic disease
  • moderate to severe ankylosing spondylitis
  • moderate to severe osteoarthritis
  • acute painful shoulder (bursitis and/or tendinitis)

Talk to your doctor before taking MICROCID SR, if you:

  • are allergic to Indomethacin, Aspirin, other NSAIDs or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine
  • are planned for heart surgery called a “coronary artery bypass graft" (CABG)
  • have liver or kidney problem
  • have a prior history of peptic ulcer (ulcer in your stomach or duodenum) or bleeding in your stomach
  • have heart disease, high blood pressure or have a tendency for fluid retention
  • have asthma
  • have a problem with your blood clotting

  • The dosage for acute painful shoulder (bursitis and/or tendinitis) is one 75 mg capsule once or twice daily

If you take more MICROCID SR

  • If you take more MICROCID SR, tell your doctor at once or contact the nearest hospital

If you forgot to take MICROCID SR

  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you forget to take a dose take it as soon as you remember it and then take the next dose at the usual time

If you stop taking MICROCID SR

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so

SERIOUS

  • new or worsening of high blood pressure
  • heart failure
  • liver problems
  • kidney problems
  • low red blood cells (anemia)
  • life-threatening skin reactions
  • life-threatening allergic reactions such as shortness of breath or trouble breathing, chest pain, weakness in one part or side of your body
  • slurred speech
  • swelling of the face or throat
  • nausea
  • more tired or weaker than usual
  • diarrhea
  • itching, your skin or eyes look yellow, indigestion or stomach pain, flu-like symptoms, vomit blood, there is blood in your bowel movement or it is black and sticky like tar, unusual weight gain
  • skin rash or blisters with fever, swelling of the arms, legs, hands and feet
