Introduction About MACZORB FORTE TABLET
MACZORB FORTE TABLET contains Calcium aspartate, which belongs to a group of medicines called Nutritional supplements. It is used in the management of osteoporosis (bones become brittle and weak), arthritis (swelling and tenderness of one or more joints), fibromyalgia (widespread muscular pain), bone spur (bony projections that develop at the end of a bone), bone and cartilage damages.
MACZORB FORTE TABLET can also be used to manage hypocalcaemia. It is a condition in which the blood has too little calcium. Your doctor might ask you take certain diagnostic tests to check your calcium levels prior to or during the management with this medicine.
Before taking MACZORB FORTE TABLETinform your doctor if you have kidney, heart or liver diseases or high levels of calcium in your body. MACZORB FORTE TABLET can be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women. However, consult with your doctor before taking the medicine. MACZORB FORTE TABLET should be used with caution in children.
MACZORB FORTE TABLET can be used in elderly patients. However, ask for your doctor’s advise before taking it. The most common side effects of taking this medicine include gas, constipation, loose stool and loss of appetite. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms gets worse.

How MACZORB FORTE TABLET Works
MACZORB FORTE TABLET contains highly soluble calcium as calcium aspartate that is used as a nutritional supplement in the conditions where body is has low calcium resulting in bone and cartilage problems. Calcium aspartate promotes calcium absorption in intestine and retention by kidneys thus increasing serum calcium levels. It also works by increasing bone density by stimulating osteoblasts (are cells that act in groups to synthesize new bone) to produce more calcium and decreasing bone resorption.
How to use MACZORB FORTE TABLET
Take MACZORB FORTE TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water and do not chew or crush the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight.

How To Manage Side Effects
Flatulence/Gas:
Eat smaller and frequent meals. Eat and drink slow and exercise regularly. If it does not improve, contact your doctor.
Constipation:
Eat plenty of fiber rich foods such as vegetables, fresh fruits and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly. Ask for your doctor’s advice if constipation doesn’t improve
Loss of appetite:
Eat when you are hungry. Eat a nutritious snack rich in calories and protein, such as dried fruit and nuts. If the symptom does not show improvement, consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Kidney
MACZORB FORTE TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having renal impairment and should be used with caution in patients having other kidney diseases. Consult your doctor for advice before taking it.

Liver
MACZORB FORTE TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having hepatic impairment and should be used with caution in patients having other liver diseases. Consult your doctor for advice before taking it.

Allergy
Do not take MACZORB FORTE TABLET if you are allergic to Calcium Aspartate or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Heart Disease
MACZORB FORTE TABLET should be used with caution in patients having heart diseases. Consult your doctor for advice before taking it.
Others
Before taking MACZORB FORTE TABLET, inform your doctor if you:
- have hypercalcemia (increased levels of calcium in blood)
Use in Paediatrics:
MACZORB FORTE TABLET should be used with caution in children. Consult your child’s doctor for advice before giving this medicine to your child.
Use in Geriatrics:

However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose of MACZORB FORTE TABLET. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this might result in increased chances of developing side effects.
