MACROGOL Sachet is used to treat constipation and induce gastric emptying before colonoscopy.

MACROGOL Sachet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

How does MACROGOL Sachet work?

MACROGOL Sachet belongs to the class of drugs called laxatives. This combination acts by increasing fluid content in the intestines, which results in softening the stools. Thus, it promotes gastric emptying by easing the passage of stools.

How to use MACROGOL Sachet?

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take MACROGOL Sachet as prescribed by your doctor.

Shake the suspension well to ensure uniform mixing of the drug. Use a measuring cup to measure each dose. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.

If you miss a dose of MACROGOL Sachet medicine, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
