Can LOPRIN 75MG be used to treat fever?
Although LOPRIN 75MG, is a NSAID medicine, it is generally used either alone or in combination with other blood thinning medicines to prevent formation of blood clots in the body. It is not suitable for reducing fever in patients as this dose may not be working adequately in reducing body temperature. Consult your doctor and you would be prescribed with a different medicine.
Can LOPRIN 75MG make you to bleed more easily?
Yes. Since LOPRIN 75MG works by altering the normal clotting time of blood, patients may experience an increased tendency to bleed even after minor cuts or injuries. Therefore LOPRIN 75MG must be used with caution only under necessary condition. Before taking LOPRIN 75MG, it is better to inform your doctor that if you are scheduled for any surgical procedures (including minor procedures) as a precaution. Pregnant women should not take LOPRIN 75MG especially during the last 3 months, as it could increase the tendency to bleed during childbirth.
Is it necessary to take LOPRIN 75MG following by-pass surgery?
LOPRIN 75MG is used as a preventive measure against the development of heart attack and stroke among patients who have undergone by-pass surgery and therefore it is necessary to continue to take LOPRIN 75MG as instructed by your doctor.
Can LOPRIN 75MG and paracetamol be taken together?
No. Avoid using many NSAIDS medicine together while taking LOPRIN 75MG, as it may cause unwanted side effects. Kindly consult your doctor before taking other anti-inflammatory medicines like paracetamol, ibuprofen etc.
Can LOPRIN 75MG cause low platelet count?
There is no proper information about the use of LOPRIN 75MG in causing low platelet count. However, it can cause altered blood count which may be caused due to excessive internal bleeding during prolonged treatment. Consult your doctor if you experience any signs of low platelet count like fever or flu-like symptoms.
Can LOPRIN 75MG be taken daily?
Take LOPRIN 75MG as advised by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, frequency and duration of therapy depending on your age, body weight and disease condition. Continue to take LOPRIN 75MG unless your doctor tells you to stop.
Can LOPRIN 75MG be used in children?
No. LOPRIN 75MG is generally not recommended for use in children (below 16 years) due to increased risk of side effects. Kindly consult your doctor before taking.
