INTRODUCTION

JUBIFLAM TABLET is a combination of Bromelain, Rutoside and Trypsin which belongs to the group of medicines called Proteolytic Enzymes and Flavonoids respectively. It is used in the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, joint issues related to inflammation, pain and swelling of joints, swelling associated with surgical wounds, pulmonary edema, ulcerative colitis, sports and accidental injuries, muscular cramps and spasms, tendinitis, bursitis, dental extraction, sinusitis, bronchitis and rhinitis.     

Prior to starting the treatment with JUBIFLAM TABLET, your doctor might want you to take several diagnostic tests to understand your existing condition and to safely use this medicine to prevent the risk of any unusual effects.   

JUBIFLAM TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with hemophilia (disorder in which blood doesn't clot normally), liver or kidney disorders and patients undergoing hemodialysis. JUBIFLAM TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with any bleeding disorders and heart disease.   

JUBIFLAM TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. There is no data on the use of JUBIFLAM TABLET in children or elderly patients hence, always consult your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.  

The most common side effects of taking JUBIFLAM TABLET are nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, tiredness, dry mouth and skin rash. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

USES OF JUBIFLAM TABLET

Used in the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with the following:

  • osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout
  • joint issues related to inflammation
  • pain and swelling of joints
  • swelling associated with surgical wounds
  • pulmonary edema
  • ulcerative colitis
  • sports and accidental injuries
  • muscular cramps and spasms
  • tendinitis and bursitis
  • dental extraction
  • sinusitis, bronchitis and rhinitis

HOW JUBIFLAM TABLET WORKS

JUBIFLAM TABLET helps in treating pain and inflammation associated with various conditions where bromelain and trypsin are protease enzymes that decrease inflammation by inhibiting the substances that are responsible for it called proinflammatory prostaglandins. It also influences blood clotting by increasing the activity of a protein called fibrinogen. Rutoside is a flavonoid that works by enhancing the strength of blood vessels and decreasing their ability to break down.  

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take JUBIFLAM TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with enough water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of JUBIFLAM TABLET for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Diarrhea:

Drink lot of fluids such as water or fruit juices to keep yourself hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own to treat diarrhea. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.   

Constipation:

Take fiber rich foods in your diet such as fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals and drink plenty of fluids. Exercise regularly (such as walking) and stay active. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve. 

Headache:  

Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Apply a pain-relieving balm on the forehead if required. Do not consume too much of alcohol. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

Dry mouth:

Sip water regularly and other sugar free liquids. Do not use mouthwashes that contain alcohol because they can make your mouth dry, use mouthwash that is used only for dry mouth. Limit your caffeine intake. Avoid smoking or using tobacco products. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

Tiredness:

Drink plenty of fluid, eat balanced diet and frequent meals. Do regular minimal exercise and follow regular sleep schedule. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS

PREGNANCY

JUBIFLAM TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking JUBIFLAM TABLET.

BREASTFEEDING

JUBIFLAM TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking JUBIFLAM TABLET.

ALCOHOL

Avoid consumption of JUBIFLAM TABLET while taking JUBIFLAM TABLET.

KIDNEY

JUBIFLAM TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with kidney disorders and in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Consult your doctor before taking JUBIFLAM TABLET.

LIVER

JUBIFLAM TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with liver disorders. Consult your doctor before taking JUBIFLAM TABLET.

ALLERGY

Do not take JUBIFLAM TABLET if you are allergic to Bromelain, Rutoside and Trypsin.

HEART DISEASE

JUBIFLAM TABLET should be used with caution in patients with heart disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.

OTHERS

JUBIFLAM TABLET is not recommended for use if you:

  • have hemophilia (disorder in which blood doesn't clot normally)

Before taking JUBIFLAM TABLET, inform your doctor if you have:

  • any other bleeding disorder

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug-Drug Interactions:

Before taking JUBIFLAM TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:

  • digoxin (used to treat heart problems)
  • ramipril (used to treat high blood pressure)

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of JUBIFLAM TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
