Introduction About FLUIMUCIL 200MG GRANULES
FLUIMUCIL 200MG GRANULES contains Acetyl cysteine which belongs to the group of medicines called Mucolytics. It is used in the management of chronic bronchitis (long-term inflammation of the breathing tubes (bronchi)) or other respiratory conditions associated with the excessive production of viscous mucous.
Phlegm is a thick, viscous substance produced by the mucus membrane in the respiratory system as a response to bacterial or viral infections such as bronchitis, influenza, and pneumonia, which also occur due to allergens or irritants when inhaled.
FLUIMUCIL 200MG GRANULES is not recommended for use in patients allergic to acetylcysteine. It is also not recommended for use in patients with active stomach ulcers and the rare hereditary disease of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (inability of the body to absorb glucose and galactose), and sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency (inability of the body to digest sucrose and maltose).
Before taking FLUIMUCIL 200MG GRANULES, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, liver diseases (such as non-alcoholic fatty acid disease), or kidney diseases (such as chronic kidney disease). FLUIMUCIL 200MG GRANULES is not recommended for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in infants (below 2 years of age), children (2 to 6 years of age), and elderly patients.
The common side effects associated with the use of FLUIMUCIL 200MG GRANULES are nausea and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
