INTRODUCTION
DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE is a fixed-dose combination of beclomethasone and formoterol which belongs to the group of medicines called anti-asthmatic drugs. It is used in the management of asthma and its symptoms in adults and adolescence patients.
Asthma is a condition which causes swelling and narrowing of the airways resulting in breathing difficulty, extra mucus secretion, breathing difficulty, whistling sound (wheezing) when you breathe out and shortness of breath.
DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to beclomethasone or formoterol. DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure(hypertension), kidney disease, thyroid disorder, and diabetes. Avoid concomitant use of other antimicrobials and anti-depressants along with DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE.
DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant women and breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE. DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE should be used with caution in children and adolescents (above 12 years of age). The common side effects of DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE are sore throat, abnormal voice, headache, and tremors.

DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE is an anti-asthmatic medicine that works by treating breathing difficulty. It has two medicines namely beclomethasone and formoterol. Beclomethasone a corticosteroid works by blocking the action of cells responsible for causing inflammation in the airways (such as mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils).
Formoterol actively produces relaxation to the smooth muscles in the airway preventing constriction of smooth muscles and breathing difficulty. Thus, beclomethasone and formoterol act by reducing inflammation and dilating the airway smooth muscle facilitating normal breathing.

Take DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE as advised by your physician. It is for inhalation use only. Do not miss any dose of DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Rinse your mouth with water after using DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE.

- medicines used to treat high blood pressure also known as beta-blockers Ex. propranolol, metoprolol, atenolol
- eye drops used to treat glaucoma (eye disorder) Ex. timolol
- other medicines used to treat breathing difficulty Ex. theophylline
- medicines used to treat uneven heartbeat Ex. quinidine, disopyramide, procainamide
- medicine used to treat mental illness Ex. phenothiazines, disulfiram
- medicines used to treat depression Ex. nefazodone, selegiline, phenelzine, amitriptyline, imipramine
- medicine used to treat bacterial and protozoal infections Ex. furazolidone, metronidazole
