DUOMATE FORTE TRANS CAPSULE is an anti-asthmatic medicine that works by treating breathing difficulty. It has two medicines namely beclomethasone and formoterol. Beclomethasone a corticosteroid works by blocking the action of cells responsible for causing inflammation in the airways (such as mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils).
Formoterol actively produces relaxation to the smooth muscles in the airway preventing constriction of smooth muscles and breathing difficulty. Thus, beclomethasone and formoterol act by reducing inflammation and dilating the airway smooth muscle facilitating normal breathing.
