Can DOXOL CAPSULE cause diarrhea?
Diarrhea is a common problem caused by DOXOL CAPSULE, which usually ends when the medicine is discontinued. Sometimes after starting the treatment, you might develop watery and bloody stools (with or without stomach cramps and fever) even as late as two or more months after having taken the last dose of DOXOL CAPSULE. If this occurs, you should tell the doctor as soon as possible.
Can DOXOL CAPSULE be used for common cold?
Patients should know that antibacterial drugs including DOXOL CAPSULE should only be used to treat bacterial infections. They should not be used to treat viral infections like the common cold. Consult your doctor for further queries.
Can I stop taking DOXOL CAPSULE if I feel better?
Do not stop taking DOXOL CAPSULE unless your doctor advises you to stop. If you stop taking it early, the infection may return. Take DOXOL CAPSULE for the full time of treatment, even if you begin to feel better.
What if I forget to take a dose of DOXOL CAPSULE?
If you forget to take a dose of DOXOL CAPSULE, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take DOXOL CAPSULE two times to make up for the missed dose. Doubling the dose to make up for a missed dose would not substitute the missing amount but increase the risk of overdosing. Consult your doctor for further queries.
Does DOXOL CAPSULE cause sensitivity to light?
Yes. Photosensitivity (light sensitivity) manifested by a worsening sunburn reaction has been observed in some patients taking DOXOL CAPSULE. Patients prone to be exposed to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light should know that this reaction can occur with DOXOL CAPSULE or similar medicines and treatment should be discontinued at the first evidence of skin redness.
