Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have a metabolic disorder (phenylketonuria)
  • have a history of gastrointestinal disease (inflammation of the colon)
  • have severe kidney problems
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • The recommended dose for children will depend on the child's weight
  • Babies less than one month old should not be given this medicine
  • Consult your doctor for advice before giving this medicine to your children
  • This medicine will not affect your ability to drive and use machines

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • warfarin (used to thin the blood)
  • probenecid (used to treat gout)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • It should be taken orally (by mouth)
  • Shake well before use

If you take more DISTACLOR 187MG ORAL

  • If you take too much than your prescribed dose, tell your doctor or contact nearest hospital immediately

If you forget to take DISTACLOR 187MG ORAL

  • If you forget to take your medicine, just take your normal dose as soon as you remember and then continue as before
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking DISTACLOR 187MG ORAL

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • sudden wheeziness, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips or limbs, rash or itching (especially affecting your whole body)
  • red wheals on the skin (urticaria), tongue, larynx, abdomen, or arms and legs, weakness, breathlessness, fainting
  • a widespread rash with blisters and peeling skin, particularly around the mouth, nose, eyes and genitals (Stevens-Johnson syndrome) and a more severe form causing skin peeling (toxic epidermal necrolysis)
  • diarrhoea with blood or mucus
  • changes in blood counts, which may show up as bruising or a very tired feeling
  • damage to your kidney or liver
  • nausea, vomiting
  • abnormally excitable behaviour
  • agitation, nervousness, sleeplessness
  • confusion, tight muscles, dizziness, drowsiness
  • seeing or hearing things (hallucinations)
  • itching of the vagina caused by thrush (candidiasis)
