Introduction About CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION

CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION contains Chorionic gonadotropin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Gonadotropins. It is used to manage hypogonadism (deficiency of sex hormones) in men. It also helps in the release of matured ovum (eggs) from the ovaries (ovulation) among infertile women after undergoing premanagement with suitable hormonal medicines (such as menotropins or FSH).

It also helps in sustaining pregnancy during the early stages among women who experience habitual abortions. It can also be used in the management of prepubertal cryptorchidism (failure of testis to descend into the scrotum) caused by hormone deficiency in young male children (aged between 4 and 9 years).

During management with CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION, your doctor would monitor your health condition through several blood tests and ultrasounds to avoid the risk of side effects like fluid accumulation, abnormally enlarged ovarian follicles, or multiple pregnancies (pregnant with more than one child), especially if you are undergoing assisted reproductive techniques.

Before receiving CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have any forms of cancer in the ovaries, uterus, breasts, or prostate. You must also inform your doctor if you have any damage in the fallopian tubes, as management with CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION may cause ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside of the womb) in such cases.

CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION may cause a false positive pregnancy result in women who take a pregnancy test using their blood or urine. This effect may last up to 10 days even after discontinuing management with CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION.

CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION may be used to sustain pregnancy during the initial stages (luteal phase). However, it should not be used in the later stages of pregnancy. Therefore, consult your doctor for advice. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.

The most common side effects of CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION are reaching puberty at an early age, pain at the injection site, headaches, and irritability. Consult your doctor if they worsen.

Uses Of CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION

    • Manage prepubertal cryptorchidism (failure of testis to descend into the scrotum due to sex hormone deficiency) in male children (aged between 4 and 9 years)
    • Manage male hypogonadism (failure of testis to produce male sex hormones)
    • Induces ovulation among infertile women
    • Supports pregnancy among women who experience habitual abortions

How CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION Works

CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION is a gonadotrophic hormone that stimulates the production of sex hormones in both men and women. In men, it acts by stimulating the release of androgens, which are responsible for the development of secondary sexual characteristics and for regulating the onset of puberty. It also helps to move down the testicles into the scrotum in children having undescended testis.

In women, it triggers the release of mature eggs from the ovaries and helps to sustain pregnancy by supplementing enough female sex hormones (estrogen and progesterone), which are required for maintaining a successful conception.

Q: Can CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION cause children to puberty at an early age?

A: Yes. CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION can cause prepubertal precocity (reaching puberty in early age) and sexual precocity (development of sexual characters) in very young children due to increased production of sex hormones. This risk further increases if management with CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION is combined with assisted reproductive techniques. To avoid this, your doctor will carefully monitor you through several blood tests (for estradiol levels) and ultrasounds.

Q: Will the use of CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION cause breast pain or tenderness?

A: CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION may cause breast pain or tenderness in some individuals. It is caused by overstimulation of the ovaries. If the symptom worsens, consult your doctor immediately.

Q: Why am I experiencing positive results in the pregnancy kit after taking CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION even though I’m not pregnant?

A: It is because CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION contains a medicine that is similar to the endogenous HCG secreted by the placenta of pregnant women. Because pregnancy kits are designed in such a way to capture the levels of naturally produced HCG hormone from the urine of pregnant women, they tend to show a false positive result after receiving CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION, even if you are not pregnant.

Q: What precautions need to be followed while taking CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION?

A: Before receiving CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have any other problems in reproductive organs like a tumor or cancer, unexplained vaginal bleeding, PCOD, or damage in fallopian tubes. If you become pregnant while undergoing management with CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION, inform your doctor immediately.

Q: Can CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION be used to induce periods?

A: CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION is a hormone that is primarily used to improve the chances of getting pregnant in infertile women. Only failure in fertilization or overstimulation of ovaries during therapy can cause miscarriage or menstruation. CORIOSURGE XP 2000IU INJECTION is not a first-line medicine to induce periods among patients who have amenorrhea (lack of periods). Consult your doctor for some alternative therapy.
