What is CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet used for?

CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet is used in the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure)

CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How does CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet work?

  • Amlodipine Besylate belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers. Amlodipine Besylate prevents the calcium from moving into the blood vessel wall thereby preventing tightening of blood vessel walls. This reduces the blood pressure and improves symptoms of chest pain.
  • Bisoprolol belongs to a group of medicines known as beta-blockers. It is a 3rdgeneration cardio selective beta blocker. Bisoprolol relaxes the blood vessel walls and slows the heart rate. This improves the blood flow, thereby thus reducing the blood pressure.

How to take CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet?

  • The dosage of oral tablets of CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet depends on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
  • You must swallow the tablet with water. Do not chew the tablet.
  • CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet can be taken before, during or after a meal.
  • Take your daily dose at the same time.
  • Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
  • Amlodipine + Bisoprolol is not recommended in children and adolescent under 18 years of age.
  • If you miss a dose of CONCOR AM 2.5mg Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

  • Impairment of consciousness
  • Coma
