COMBITAZ 250/31.25MG INJECTION is a combination of Ceftazidime and Tazobactam which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is indicated in the management of various infections such as joint and bone infections, gynaecological infections, infections in patients suffering from Febrile Neutropenia, meningitis, lung infections (Ex. pneumonia, pseudomonal lung infection in Cystic Fibrosis), bacterial infections of the skin, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicaemia, ear infections, vibrio infections, and perioperative prophylaxis.
Prior to the management with COMBITAZ 250/31.25MG INJECTION, your doctor might ask you to take certain diagnostic tests. COMBITAZ 250/31.25MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with liver disease, seizures, or infection due to a specific bacteria (C. difficile). In pregnant and breastfeeding women, COMBITAZ 250/31.25MG INJECTION should be used with caution.
The most common side effects of receiving COMBITAZ 250/31.25MG INJECTION are injection site inflammation, rashes, fever, diarrhoea, nausea, headache, dizziness, constipation, indigestion, and pain. Inform your doctor if any of these worsen or don’t improve.

COMBITAZ 250/31.25MG INJECTION aids in the management of a variety of infections. Ceftazidime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits penicillin-binding proteins, which are essential for bacterial survival. This leads to the destruction of the bacterial cell wall and, hence, the bacteria. Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor, which interacts with an enzyme called beta-lactamase and protects the efficiency of ceftazidime against bacteria.

Nausea And Vomiting
While receiving COMBITAZ 250/31.25MG INJECTION, stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. If the symptom doesn’t improve, contact your doctor.

- other cephalosporins such as cefadroxil, cefepime, ceftriaxone and other penicillins such as amoxicillin, nafcillin, and ampicillin (used to manage various infections)
