INTRODUCTION ABOUT CLINDOXYL GEL
Clindoxyl Gel is used for the topical management of mild to moderate acne vulgaris, particularly inflammatory lesions, in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above. It contains clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide as active ingredients to manage acne.
Clindamycin works for acne vulgaris by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, specifically targeting and reducing the population of Propionibacterium acnes, a bacteria associated with acne. Additionally, it possesses anti-inflammatory properties that help alleviate skin inflammation and lesions associated with acne. Benzoyl peroxide works against acne vulgaris by releasing oxygen, which kills acne-causing bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes) and helps unclog pores by removing excess oil and dead skin cells, reducing inflammation and promoting clearer skin.
Always use Clindoxyl Gel as advised by the doctor. It is for topical use only. For usage, wash your hands before application, then apply a thin film of Clindoxyl Gel over the affected area once daily after washing gently with a mild cleanser and after fully drying. If extreme dryness or peeling occurs, the frequency of application should be reduced or discontinued temporarily. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, mouth and other mucous membrane or areas of irritated or broken skin. In case of accidental contact, wash immediately with water.
