CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) is a combination of Clindamycin and Nicotinamide which belongs to a group of medicines called Lincomycin antibiotics and Vitamin B3 complex, respectively. CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) is used to treat mild to moderate acne which is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells which may occur due to variety of causes such as genetics, fluctuating hormone levels, stress, high humidity or using oily or greasy personal care products which may affect people of all ages.

It is characterized by symptoms such as open or closed plugged pores, small red & tender bumps, pimples, large, solid or painful lumps under the skin and painful & pus-filled lumps under the skin.

Before using CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, lung or heart diseases. Avoid applying CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) to a cut, scrapped, sunburnt or eczema affected skin.

CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) should be used with caution in pregnant and in breastfeeding women. CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 12 years). Consult your doctor before applying.

The most common side effects of using CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) are skin inflammation, contact dermatitis (red, itchy rash), inflammation of hair follicles, itchy skin, dry skin and peeling of skin. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.

CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) helps to treat acne, where Clindamycin reduces free fatty acid concentrations on the skin and suppresses the growth of Propionibacterium acnes (Corynebacterium acnes), a bacteria found in sebaceous glands and follicles and Nicotinamide exerts anti-inflammatory effect in acne and interrupts sebum production.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Before applying the medicine normally wash and dry the affected area and apply a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area. Treated areas on the face need not be covered with a plaster or bandage. Do not apply this medicine beyond the recommended duration. Avoid applying CLINBID N GEL(TOPICAL) around your eyes, including eyelids. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get it in these areas.

A. Drug - Drug interactions:

• acepromazine (used a sedative/tranquilizer)
