Introduction About CALACARE LOTION
Calacare Lotion is a soothing agent used for the relief of itching due to sunburns, prickly heat, insect bite, and minor skin irritations. It contains calamine, camphor, diphenhydramine hydrochloride as active ingredient.
Calamine is an anti-itching agent that acts by causing a cooling sensation as it evaporates on your skin. Calamine also dries out the oozing or weeping from minor skin irritation. Camphor reduces itchiness and skin irritation, which enhances the appearance of the skin. Diphenhydramine reduces the effects of histamine (a chemical substance produced by the body in response to some allergens like dust or pollen), thereby it relieves skin itchiness.
Apply Calacare Lotion as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Shake well before use. Apply the lotion gently on the affected area of skin three or four times a day or as directed by the doctor. Discontinue the use of Calacare Lotion if burning sensation occurs. It can be easily removed from the sensitive skin surfaces simply by washing with water. Do not apply this lotion on to the blistered, raw or oozing areas of the skin.
