What is BRONAC 600mg Tablet used for?

BRONAC 600mg Tablet is also known as N-acetylcysteine (NAC) or N-acetyl-L-cysteine.

  • BRONAC 600mg Tablet oral tablets, capsules and respiratory powder for inhalation are used
  • to treat chest infections like bronchitis, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis;
  • in anti-aging treatment;
  • to treat kidney failure (which occurs due to certain dyes used in X-ray procedure).
  • Intravenous BRONAC 600mg Tablet (injectable) is used to treat
  • symptoms of chest pain (angina);
  • an overdose of Paracetamol.

How does BRONAC 600mg Tablet work?

  • BRONAC 600mg Tablet is derived from N-acetyl cysteine, which is formed from the amino acid L-cysteine.
  • BRONAC 600mg Tablet thins and clears the mucus from the airways in respiratory diseases.
  • BRONAC 600mg Tablet helps in the formation of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant normally found in the liver, and enhances non-toxic metabolism of Acetaminophen. This protects the liver cells from NAPQI (N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine) toxicity, which can lead to acute liver failure.

How to take BRONAC 600mg Tablet?

  • The dosage of oral tablets, capsules, inhalation powder and intravenous form of BRONAC 600mg Tablet depends on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take BRONAC 600mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
  • If you miss a dose of BRONAC 600mg Tablet formulation, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
  • On oral administration:
  • BRONAC 600mg Tablet inhalation solution must be prepared from the powder and inhaled directly from the nebulizer or with a face mask, mouth piece, tent, or intermittent positive pressure breathing (IPPB) machine.

  • On intravenous BRONAC 600mg Tablet (injectable) administration:
