INTRODUCTION

BRITE CREAM is a combination of Hydroquinone, Octinoxate and Oxybenzone which belong to a group of medicines called Depigmenting agents, Photoprotective agent and Benzophenones respectively. It is used for gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.

Hyperpigmentation is a skin condition that causes uneven darkening of the skin in some areas. It appears to be as dark brown, black, grey, pink, or red patches which are not usually painful or itching. Certain lifestyle changes, skincare, and sun protection will help you treat this condition. BRITE CREAM is not recommended for use if you are allergic to Hydroquinone, Octinoxate, Oxybenzone, Sulphites or other sunscreens.

Before using BRITE CREAM inform your doctor if you have asthma or other skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. BRITE CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. There are no proper studies on the use of BRITE CREAM in children and adolescents below 12 years of age and should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of BRITE CREAM are mild burning, stinging, redness and dryness. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

USES OF BRITE CREAM

It is used to treat hyperpigmented skin conditions such as:

  • chloasma
  • melasma
  • freckles
  • senile lentigines
  • other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation

HOW BRITE CREAM WORKS

BRITE CREAM works by reducing pigmentation. Hydroquinone is the primary topical agent responsible for blocking the substance causing pigmentation (melanin) and it also has potent antioxidant activities. Octinoxate works by filtering the UV rays from the sun by absorbing them through the skin. Oxybenzone works by absorbing UVB and UVA II rays, resulting in a photochemical excitation and absorption of energy. Upon return to the ground state, the energy which is absorbed results in the emission of longer wavelength radiation and decreased skin penetration of radiation which reduces the risk of DNA damage.

Apply BRITE CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of this medicine to the affected skin area. Rub gently on the affected area. Do not use BRITE CREAM under bandages.
